FRANKFURT, Germany, 10 September 2013. Nissan's ongoing mission to deliver the future today takes another significant step forward at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. Headlined by the revolutionary all-new X-Trail - which makes its global debut at the show - Nissan's 2013 display further showcases the brand's cutting-edge design and technology innovation.

 

From the dramatic and dynamic Friend-Me concept to the model that is set to re-invent the SUV segment, Nissan once again leads the way for design, accessible technology and engineering excellence.

 

New Nissan X-Trail

With a dynamic new design that combines Nissan's rich 4x4 heritage with the brand's leadership in the crossover sector, the new X-Trail sets new standards for technology, efficiency and comfort.

 

Improved in every area, the new X-Trail retains its famed go-anywhere ability, and adds a host of features that redefine what customers can expect from a compact SUV. In true Nissan style, the new X-Trail introduces premium technology to a new area of the market, with numerous first-in-sector features such as LED headlights, Nissan Safety Shield and the new fully integrated NissanConnect navigation and infotainment system.

 

More practical than before, yet more efficient and equipped with an increased number of driving and safety systems, the new X-Trail completes what is the most comprehensive and capable SUV and crossover line-up in the industry.

Nissan's intention to become the top Asian car brand across Europe by 2016 is on track as already it can claim number one status in key markets such as the UK, France, Spain and Italy. "Despite the down turn in the overall market, Nissan attained record market share last year and we are on target to match that achievement in 2013," said Guillaume Cartier, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, for Nissan in Europe.

Nissan's drive to offer customers even more choice takes another step forward at Frankfurt with the introduction of a bold new personalisation programme. Following a highly successful introduction on the Juke range, Nissan is further expanding the initiative to include new Note and new Micra. As part of the expanded programme, Juke buyers have even more accessories and colour options to choose from, with almost limitless possibilities. To accompany the launch of the new programme, Nissan is also introducing an innovative new 3D web configurator that offers buyers the opportunity to preview their dream design through every possible angle.
