Who is David Moss?

David is responsible for the research, development and engineering of Nissan's vehicles across Europe. Nissan's R&D function is preparing the business for the next generation of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology to meet the future demands of society. This strategy encompasses electrifying Nissan's powertrains, deploying advanced driver assistance systems including ProPILOT, and the wide introduction of vehicle connectivity.

The work done by David and his teams in UK, Spain, Germany, Russia and Belgium plays a vital role in securing the competitiveness of Nissan's vehicles in Europe which meet and exceed the demands of the region's customers. This is evident in the class-leading Qashqai, the world's first mass-market EV, LEAF and the stylish Juke, to name a few examples.

As the company continues to electrify its line-up and bring new technology to the region, the work being done by David and his team is increasingly important and he is excited to be leading the team through this transformation at such a crucial time.

Career History

David joined Nissan as a Graduate Engineer in 1989 and has risen through the ranks at the company, taking on roles in Europe and Japan involving body design, interior engineering, and corporate planning. Gaining extensive experience in various aspects of vehicle engineering and project management allowed David to develop overall vehicle knowledge, enabling him to hold the position of Chief Vehicle Engineer, prior to his current role. Based in Japan, he was globally responsible for Qashqai and spent two years leading the development of the third-generation model.
